My Passion for Market Meat Goats
My journey with market meat goats began in 4-H, inspired by my older sister. I started showing goats in kids' shows at a young age and quickly developed a passion for it. Seeing her success motivated me to learn and excel even more. Once I was old enough, I began showing competitively and for prize money. So, I am here to teach others so they can understand how to properly raise a market meat goat and achieve their own successes.
My Experience
I have been showing market meat goats for nine years, and even before that, I participated in kids' shows. About four years ago, I started seeing significant success at our local county fair, winning three Grand Champions and one Reserve Champion title. Last year, I had the incredible opportunity to attend the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE). This experience was vastly different from county fairs and allowed me to learn a tremendous amount from other skilled exhibitors.

It may take a few years to achieve your goals, as it is not an easy endeavor. It took me years to acquire the knowledge I have today and even longer to place at my local county fair.
